The richness of diversity

“Diversity is cosmic,” I once heard my Sat Guru Jí say.

This universe is rich in its diversity, and so is everything that exists within it. Learning to accept that difference is to accept the universe as it is.

How beautiful it is to look around and be immersed in the beauty of different colours, shapes and textures. To appreciate the beauty of the day, but also the beauty of the night. To feel the warmth and vitality in every ray of sunlight, but also the delicate drops of rain.

People, too, are diverse. Each person carries within their essence a unique light which, when fully lived, can illuminate the entire universe.

Let us value diversity and understand how we can complement one another, because each of us has something unique to share. Like the pieces of a puzzle, everything fits together perfectly.

May we learn, more and more, to appreciate the beauty of difference and to respect it. May each person feel free to Be, to share their essence with the world and, in doing so, allow this universe to be whole.
